Ramblings about food, cooking, recipes, travels, history and walking around Manila.
I was lucky enough together with my Chinoylife co-founder, Mike Lu and Chinoylife member, Stephen Pamorada to be invited before the soft opening of Eng Bee Tin’s new building and new venture, The Great Buddha Cafe.
The cafe is located at the 2nd floor of Eng Bee Tin’s new building in Ongpin St. This cafe will be open for the next 10 days in time for Chinese New Year.
A mix of traditional chinese decors with a refreshing splash of modern design can be seen.
Fixtures are custom made, you can see it when you look up… you will immediately think of mooncakes.
Mr. Gerry Chua and the rest of the family offered us to try their dishes. And yeah, I went crazy taking photographs.
After dinner we get to do photograph the souvenier shop and pose with the golden Buddha.
Chinese New year is just around the corner… Drop by the Great Buddha Cafe while you’re in manila Chinatown!
Finally something new, different, refreshing in Manila Chinatown!
